Can anyone recommend any countries/resorts for a tropical honeymoon on a budget?

Im planning our honeymoon for later this year and we really want to go somewhere special…with white sands, blue warms sea etc. But all the places i have looked at are excessively large amounts of money! We have a budget of £1500-2000 and i was hoping for some ideas…could be a country or a resort you know of…anything is appreciated!

You don’t say when exactly you’d be going, but if you plan on going after October, I’d recommend the Caribbean. I’m not sure how much flights would be but the hotels should be relatively inexpensive then since it’s not the high season. The Britsh Virgin Islands (as well as the US Virgin Islands) are supposed to be beautiful. There are lots of other islands to choose from too.
I do not know how much $ airfare is to Bali, but there is a town there that is called Lovina a few hours from Denpasar airport. In that town is a secure place called Gede Home stay.Gede is available as a tour guise. It is on a lovely beach that is not good for surfing.. As the economy fails, the locals get more aggressive to make a buck [or a rupee]. There is a restaurant in the safe locked compound, lovely bungalows, "laundry service" nearby Reggae bars. It is about $10.US a day there are also hot springs & waterfalls nearby. It is a bus ride or rent a car away from the ferry to Lombok where there are 3 islands, the "Gilli’s" Everything here is salt water except for ice & drinking. Here is a party nightclub atmosphere year round. The. prices are about the same as Lovina. Hint hint- DO NOT have any mushroom anything, omelets especially, unless you are ready to take an unplanned ‘trip’ You can get hung for drugs but the mushrooms were legal when I was there.It has been in ‘the lonely planet’ travel books. In Denpasar, there is a hotel called ‘sayang’ which means darling. It is not far from the beach & also has food & a saltwater pool. The doors are about 4 feet high to keep out the evil spirits. I have rarely seen a more lovely, romantic place than these 3 locations.
