Can I re-bottle pure maple syrrup for favors at my wedding?

I want to give away small leaf bottles filled with pure maple syrup away at my wedding for favors. Can I do that without it spoiling? I know it needs to be refrigerated after opening, so I’m concerned about re-bottling and leaving the favors on the table. Thanks!

Real maple syrup can DEFINITELY get an unpleasant film and off taste if you don’t refrigerate it after rebottling. Even plain sugar syrup will do this if you forget to refrigerate … ask me how I know …
But if you’re talking about one day on the tables and it’s not 100 degree weather, you’re fine. Just let guests know to refrigerate afterward since your bottles will not be air tight.
If you’re having a winter wedding you can even keep your little bottles in the garage or an enclosed porch or someplace cool like that until showtime so they don’t fill up your fridge.

Yes. Syrup doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Just make sure to keep it covered so little bugs don’t get in the bottles.
