Hello Everyone!

We are having a beach wedding and our reception is to be followed at a hotel..

It is going to be a small wedding about 50/60 people.

Our reception is going to be "beached themed" buffet style dinner.. It is going to be more of an elegant beach wedding then a luau type.

We are fun loving and want the reception to be a Big Bash but want to stick to theme as well.

Does anyone have any idea’s on what we could get to make our time even better?

Example: I thought all white leis or seashell leis for all guests might be fun. * Once the drinks and party really starts, of course *

Also a lot of our wedding stuff is made with seashells, so any seashell idea’s would be Perfect!

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have any more idea’s for decorations during "Party Time".

My future hubby wants to have the big sunglasses, hula skirt, etc..

I think that is a bit overboard! I want to be fun and have the party of our lives but I don’t want to make it look cheap neither with the plastic grass skirts! *laughs*

I was thinking of having a limbo poll ( for late hours ) and decorate it ivory organza and white hibiscus flowers.

My husband and I eloped last June and were married on Cocoa Beach, FL. Our family was very excited for us but wanted to be able to attend a family gathering. So, for one-year anniversary, my dad is throwing us a party at a local banquet hall. I’ve sent out the invitations and found a cute centerpiece idea that I’d like to make:

However, I hadn’t originally planned on having a beach theme. Our colors will be green and white, and I’m not sure how to incorporate this in our centerpieces. It seems to me that the obvious color choice for a beach wedding would be blue, but since the invitations have already been sent out (with green ribbon), I don’t know how I should merge the color with the beach theme.

Also, while the banquet hall has an outdoor bar that we will be using, the room itself isn’t very "beachy" and has silk flowers around the windows. How can I make everything fit together?

Do you think it’s odd to have a beach theme for a reception or ceremony that doesn’t take place on the beach?

What foods would work good for an indoor beach wedding themed reception? The wedding will be held at a church. We expect between 150 to 200 people.
No alcohol is allowed. The budget will be around ,000 to ,000.

Hi everyone! Well, we have a Hawaiian Luau themed wedding coming up with live band, dancers, BBQ and all… but the band will not be playing during dinner which is about 45min long before the Luau starts. So we just thought we would burn a CD of songs for it. We want song types such as "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawi, "When The Sun Goes Down" by Kenny Chesney… and so on. We are having the toughest time finding enough music. Any beach sounding, reggae, ukulele, popular hawaiian types songs. Please don’t just say Bob Marley or anything. I need specific song titles. I am only 24, so these type of songs are not my expertise!

I’m getting married in October(2008) at a rustic Inn on the beach in Cape Cod MA. I’m having difficutly coming up with a theme. I love the beach theme but in October I’m not sure how to pull it off. The ceremony is outdoors and the reception indoors. Any suggestions for a theme, colors and centerpiece ideas?

I’m not sure what color to pick for the purple and how exactly to tie it in. My other color is blue, but I’m also not sure about that shade either. Either sky blue, a tealish color, or a shade called storm blue, which is like a dim teal, elegant looking =)

I am throwing one of my friends a bridal shower and I am thinking of sending invites with a Palm Tree because here wedding is on the beach. I am trying to think of wording for the invites but cant think of anything!!! It is not going to be a luau party just the decor will be "beachy"
I would appreciate any suggestions at all. Her Name is Heather so I would like to incorporate that
