right now i am trying to figure out if i want to spend the .5K + on a wedding videographer or buying a good video camera for around 0 and have one of my friends shoot from a tripod. i have looked at raw and the cheapest in the area is 0
i am looking at dong it myself for not only the money but because frankly >< i can do a better job at editing the damn video then half these videographers can.
so whats the pros and con’s to doing this. as i said we’re looking at having a friend do it with a tripod so there won’t be shaking.

are just a couple video’s i edited to show it’s not that hard…
okay this may be me but.. it’s not rocket science. you point.. and shoot.
and my friend is a student at college for photography, video recording is not that hard. you need a better eye for photography then you need for videography.
and budget is well.. we’re over budget. we can’t really afford anymore but i want a nice video of my wedding
I’m looking into a wedding at a non-traditional venue in New York City, but one that wants to start doing lots of weddings. They have no pictures or information on their website, because they’ve only done a couple of events so far.
Do you think they’d give me a bigger break on the catering if I agree to let them use my event photos to promote the venue?
(We already have a stockpile of personalized M&Ms and mini bubble bottles ready to go. What else? Since it is such a small wedding of only close family, we want to make the gift bags really special.)
Just trying to get an idea on how much wedding cakes are. How much was your cake and how many people did it serve? What flavors did you end up choosing and how far in advance did you have to place your order. Any other helpful tips would be great. Thanks!
Were getting married in May 2009, Im having people fly in and stay at whatever hotel they choose as people have different price ranges. We’re getting married at treasure Island and then we rented out an area at the Treasure Island Buffet for a Champagne Brunch. Its about 50 ppl. Any ideas for after? Is that enough for having people come all the way out to Vegas? Its not like I can invite 50 ppl up to my room after? And we don’t have a lot of money.
Well I had this planned then my fiances mom made me feel bad for not doing more since im having people go there. I had thought of saying meet us for Karaoke and drinks later tonight. Were driving down with our kids and then on Monday were all leaving on a cruise.
I just wanted to get some feedback if I was doing enough.
I am planning my honeymoon and I don’t want to be disappointed when we arrive, and find out the hotel and beach does not live up to the pictures. Looking for a place with clean rooms, king bed, big bathroom, if possible a clean updated Jacuzzi.

We are having a lakeside wedding at my Grannie’s farm. The groom and groomsmen are wearing nice khakis, white shirts and green ties that match the bridesmaid dresses. Should my dad wear the same? Should the groom wear a different tie so he stands out and my dad wear the green tie?
I am a designer specializing in formal wear, particularly in wedding gowns. I am based in Tampa, FL and would like to expand in selling my gowns just about anywhere in the country. Any bridal store owners here who can give me an idea how to get started? Or maybe sales reps who would like to help me out to get my collection out there?
We live in Inland Empire area (Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario etc)
We are planning to get married this summer (09′). I know it is kind of late to look for venues since it is already April.
We are looking for a nice (& beautiful at sunset) garden type wedding venue with a reception area that lets you bring your own caterer and is not too pricey.
I’m an amateur photographer and shooting my first wedding this Sunday (for free). I know all of the important shots that I need to get but how do I get these without be rude or distracting from the ceremony? Is it ok for me to stand at the front of the church to take shots? I’m not worried about the reception…that will be easy. I just want to make sure that i don’t disappoint the bride by missing any vital moments but I also don’t want to upset anyone by being "in the way" or too obtrusive. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
On a tight wedding budget and am having my wedding in Hickory Hills on 6/17/11. If you are an experienced wedding DJ, is available and will charge me 0 or less to work my 5.5 hour wedding. I’d love to hear from you. I don’t need high tech fancy equipment just looking for basic dance lighting and music equipment loud enough for 250 guest wedding reception hall.
i am having a destination wedding and we are renting a villa for a week for a family of 12 after the wedding in the afternoon/evening we are having our own reception(no big meal just snacks as will have already had that) with our own pre recorded music etc, but needs some ideas for tropical centre pieces, drinks, decorations etc its on a budget so fairly cheap but nice and classy
My fiance and I are getting married in April and having a hard time finding an affordable place to honeymoon. I really want to do a beach trip, but I know certain places wont be very warm in April…suggestions?
