I was wondering if anyone could help me decide what sort of wedding band to get either titanium, tungsten or platinum?
I want something hard wearing, light, shiny and something that I can get an engraving into?
Thanks
What does everyone think of pallidium? Many thanks
The bridal set I have fits together like a puzzle piece and I want the entire thing as my engagement ring. Is it acceptable to have a bridal set and then get an extra wedding band at the ceremony?
Ive heard mixed answers. Right now I have the engagement ring in first followed by my wedding band because my engagement ring is a lil lose. Anyways, how do you have it?
I was given my dads wedding band, which is gold, after he passed away and I’d like to use it for sentimental reasons of course but would like to have it dipped. I like the harder metals and have always liked the titanium and tungsten looks but I am just looking into my options. Thanks
I have decided a price range for my fiances wedding band, but I’m not sure now where to find it. He really loves the ones we’ve seen that say "Bright Love of My Heart" in Gaelic on the side (he’s Irish) but so far the ones I’ve found are either very cheap or nearly 00. If anyone has a website or nearby store that has these types of rings let me know.
P.S. Also I don’t know if it would work but could I have a jeweler engrave the words into the ring?
Lord of the Rings was a great epic novel. I don’t usually use things from movies into my real life, but I’m getting married soon and need to choose a wedding band.
I was debating between:
a) plain black ring,
b) one with a celtic design, or
c) one with the Elvish writing from the One Ring in LOTR
My finace said she’s okay with anything I choose.
It will be made of Tungsten.
My husband has said that he would like to get me a new wedding band for our 10 year anniversary but I really like the ring that I have….although it is gold and I really like white gold or plat. I would like to keep wearing my original ring. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this ring dipped in either white gold or plat??? That way it will be something "new" but also something very dear to my heart…
My husband doesn’t wear gold and I don’t like silver much. His wedding band is stainless steel. We both love it.
Just out of curiousity. I heard things that the engagement ring is supposed to be %30 of your anual salary. I want to know the estimate price for bands and engagement rings….AND ALSO, if you dont mind sharing how much your wedding cost.
I know you cant put a price of love but these days I want to know how much people are spending for a wedding and bands.
Thx guys!
I bought my husband a Tungsten wedding band. Hes had it on for a month now and just this past week he got a blister on the top of his finger where the ring hits his finger. Is it possible he may have an allergy to it?
Oh, and he never ever takes it off.
what does it mean if the groom drops the wedding band during the ceremony
I found a custom wedding band at a jewelers and haven’t seen anything similar - it’s platinum, 2mm along the front (with diamond fragments inlay - under 1/4 karat), and thinner along the back. I’m concerned about the durability of a ring that’s under 2 mm. I read somewhere that rings that are thinner along the back can be poorly made (since it’s a way to use less metal).
When I described the style to another jeweler he said it was an old-fashioned look, but I find the look of the contemporary wedding bands to be very plain.
It has 11 .30 diamonds and 11 .30 yellow sapphires, I wanted a band that had color in it cause I have a 1 carat 3 stone wedding ring and I thought putting color under it would really make it pop, and it did but women are always asking me where I got it and when I say Zales, they go " Oh it’s real"? Why is that, it didn’t look fake to me and my husband that’s why we bought it, why does it look fake to everyone else, is it because the yellow sapphires?
I think I may have developed an allergic reaction to my 10k white gold wedding band (well I guess to be more accurate the nickle that it possibly contains.) Even if I wear it for a short amount of time my finger swells up and breaks out in this odd bump covered rash. Is there anything I can do to the ring that can make it wearable without this happening?
