Destination wedding??

My fiance and I are considering having a destination wedding. We need some ideas of where to go, where would be cheapest? We also were thinking about taking a couple friends with us as our witnesses. Are there packages for taking more people with you? Also, we wanted to have a reception for our families, when do you have the reception with a destination wedding? Any advice could help! We have never done this before and dont have much money to work with.. Thanx!

I don’t know about cheap, but we had our honeymoon at a Sandals resort, and there were several weddings everyday and they were gorgeous. I think they take care of a lot of the details for you when you book with them, plus it being an all-inclusive, once you’ve paid for your trip and get there, you don’t have to pay for any alcohol, scuba diving & water sports, food, even tips are already included. They gave us a 40 pc dish set and $250 credit to use at the resort. We got couples massages, etc. Basically we didn’t spend a cent when we got there, which is better than a cruise in that you don’t have to whip out your credit card every time you want to get a coke. It’s also more relaxed, but there’s a lot of stuff to do such as volleyball, entertainment.
Our resort was in Jamaica, but there are many resorts on different islands, and they also own Beaches, which is the same package deal and resort, but it’s not couples-only, it’s families & singles too.
Some of the people brought they’re families with them. Maybe give ‘em a call?

Puerto Vallarta, MX is beautiful. It is known for it’s rich culture. There are so many beautiful beaches to choose from if you were thinking of an outdoor wedding, but I’m sure you could find a beautiful church or something. You should really look into it though.

Destination weddings can be a pain, cos you can end up hurting many peoples feelings as they are unable to pay to come or simply because you have no one there, my advice, have a wedding somewhere close to home or the majority of friends and family, perhaps the state next door so its not so hard to get everyone there to enjoy your big day and have a destination honeymoon
Go to Hamilton Island or Daydream Island in the Whitsundays at Australia they do packages. I’m going to a friends wedding at Hamilton Island in July.
My only advice is start saving now, and tell your friends too!!
