Does anyone have the recipe for Mexican Wedding Cakes?

I’m a Mexican American and as far as I know we don’t have any particular wedding cake. We have a cake called tres leches or three milks cake but I’ve never seen it at a wedding.
1 c. butter
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
Powdered sugar
Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar. Shape into balls. Bake at 300 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 30 minutes. While still warm, cover completely with powdered sugar.

1 cup butter, softened
8 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Mix all the ingredients together with a mixer until well blended. Roll dough into round small balls.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Cool completely then roll in additional confectionary sugar
