How to become a wedding planner?

I am really interested into being a wedding planner. I need someone (hopefully an actual wedding planner) to tell me what it takes to be one. Like the education i need to take and all the stuff. Can anybody help me.

I am a photographer and had a lot of oppurtunity to work with wedding planners. The person that said, "it is just like planning an event" is absolute WRONG! It is more than that and it is very stressful. You are planning someone’s once in a life time event (hopefully) and it is very stressful.
As becoming one, check to see if there is a local wedding planner association. They will help guide you and mentor you if you are truly interested.
Check out your local colleges. It may just be ‘event planning’.
