Random bridal shower favors! Good idea?
My sister is having her wedding on a beach front. Her bridal shower is going to have a theme of flip flops. I was going to buy everyone a pair of baby blue flip flops (since that is her color theme) so they can wear them at the beach during the wedding weekend…Is this a good idea? I will need their shoe sizes so how do I go about asking them in an invitation?
But im not the bride. I dont want to pass out wedding favors. This is for the bridal shower.

Flip flops come in small, med and large and x_large. You know the girls so could pretty well judge their dress/shoe sizes. Medium is size 6 to 7.5, small is 5 to 6.5. This time of year flip flops can be purchased for as little as $2. so get your "best bet" in sizes and throw in some extra mediums. Cute idea, by the way!
If you want them to wear the flip flops during the wedding weekend, then wait until then to give them out.
You can probably find some really cute ones online somewhere… or like at Target… I think they are all on sale now. In the bridal shower invitation just make sure to say, "Must RSVP by email………" and then when they email, ask them their shoe size, and that it’s for a special part of the bridal shower. Or type in "Please let us know your shoe size for a special part of the bridal shower" This would really get them thinking creatively… like what’s going on? LOL… have fun!
well if you’re a bridesmaid, discuss it with the other bridesmaids who are hosting the shower. you all have to agree on the shower favors and chip in for them $$$. what you would have to do is instead of a phone rsvp, you’d have to ask people to send back a card and write in their shoe size. that’s going to cost more for the invitations and return postage. it’s a good idea but also keep in mind not every female wedding guest attends the shower, so only about half the female guests would end up having flip flops, and how many of them will actually remember to bring them along to the wedding? instead of giving flip flops at the shower, a better idea would be to go to old navy where they’re $2 a pair and get all sorts of sizes, put them in a basket at the ceremony and let guests take them if they want!
all you have to do is just say… i have come up with a great idea and i need your shoe size… do you really want to buy a pair for everyone at the bridal shower though??? my bridal shower will consist of all the women i have invited to the wedding… the hen’s night, is just my besties…. maybe that would be better….
That is a good idea. If it does not work out getting the sizes, you could go with some regular bridale shower favors in a beach theme:

Instead of asking their shoe size. You can stick to your plan and hire a shoe vendor who’ll get the most common pair of shoe bulk on the occasion.
And everyone would get their size there on the beach font. Ask the vendor to arrange for different sizes and then you can ask the guest to get the pairs which fits in the best.
