Expert Advice About Beach Wedding Planning And Destination Wedding Locations.
I am addressing our wedding invitations. We have several friends & family members who are doctors & I’m not sure if I should address the invitation to Dr. & Mrs. OR Mr. & Mrs.
I consider them pretty good friends of the family. Is the Dr. Necessary? I want to make sure I am respectful.
We were thinking of alternating wine bottle stoppers & candy boxes at each reception table. There are 10 people per table (so 5 of each favor). My fiance & I love wine, so we chose the bottle stoppers, however we want to offer something different for those who do not drink wine. The alternating favors would ultimately save us some money too. Would this violate any sort of etiquette rules? Would it be better to stick to just one favor?
I have looked at Hawaii and Turks & Caicos as possible destination places for my wedding. My fiancee and i might even consider getting married alone with no family or friends…very private. Any beach location ideas (North/South America) that have wedding packages at affordable prices?

I am looking for someplace that has plenty of light and safe surroundings. I really want a place that will work with me when it comes to decor (I already have my own & believe it or not- actually prefer to set up & clean up my self & with family & friends). We’ll have (hopefully not more than) 150 people, but really counting on 75- 100. I want my own photographer (some places do include that) & maybe my own caterer, depending on costs & food available. I would prefer not to pay over 00 (including chairs, tables- & that’s about it) but of course will pay more for a venue w/ more to it (up to 00). We are also going for a beach theme if this helps. Any ideas?

I plan on buying this dress for a beach wedding this March. What do you think? What type of shoes would look okay with it? Heels are a no-no.

I’m getting married next spring. My fiance and I are in the process of planning our wedding and ironing out the details.
I really dig this wedding band for myself, but I guess it’s a man’s one..
I like the black onyx and diamond alternating, plus it’s cheaper than all diamonds across the front of the band (which is kind of what he wants to get me since our engagement ring is quite simple). We’re planning a modest wedding and are both just finishing college - so we’re in debt.
anyway, I dig this black and white kind of thing. Is it too mannish? (I didn’t even know it was a mens’ ring at first..)
Do you know of a womens’ version of it?

Thanks! I saw it on the back of a birdal magazine, and didn’t realize it was a "man’s" ring until I looked it up online. It’s a benchmark diamond and onyx.
My fiance digs it, too. I was just curious - from an objective point of view..
It is a slim ring - which should go well with our engagement ring.

it’s coming down to the business end of my wedding planning & I’m trying to decide what we should get as the favors.
I’m leaning more towards something edible, but I really don’t like the sugared almonds, I think they’re a little outdated & seem a bit tacky.

Getting married on a small beach in Florida on 08-08-08. A friend is a notary and will be marrying us. We really don’t care for the whole "holy matrimony" thing and would like an alternative saying. No dearly beloved either. "We are gathered here today to join R & C ………. ANY suggestions on how to complete this sentence??

My fiance and I don’t want to be cheap. Neither of us care for chocolate, so M&M’s are out. Is there anything that doesn’t scream tacky or cheapness that is a good wedding favor? None of our guests drink, so bar favors are out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
My brother is planning for a destination wedding in Hawaii next year. None of our friends and family are in Hawaii, everybody will have to travel. Are they supposed to provide airfare and hotels for people (both family & guests) that is going to attend? This will be our first destination wedding in our family, not sure how it works.
