I’m down to the last details of my wedding planning, and I’m stumped on the seating assignments / arrangements. I was going to purchase paper table number sets and arrange seating by table number. However, my fiance wants to incorporate hockey into the theme because he plays ice hockey and is a die hard fan. He wants to use players names for the tables instead of numbers. How would I do this? Do they have web sites where you can have them print whatever you want instead of just pre-printed numbers?

Also, how do you let everyone know what table number they are assigned to? I was thinking of having a chart on the same table as the guest book with each person’s name alphabetized and table number. Is that tacky, or should I assign someone to guide the guests to their seats? How did you handle your seating arrangements / assignments if you had or are having any?

Also, we are having a beach ceremony and there is limited seating. I want to assign seats to family, children and the elderly. It will likely be somewhat windy. How should I assign seating? I need something that will not blow away and will not ruin the chairs. Any ideas?

i am doing a cupcake wedding cake, and the groom cake is going to be his favorite greman chocolate, for the wedding cupcake cake i am putting a mini cake on top for cutting, the topper i am thinking of putting seashells on top of the mini cake and for the grooms i have no idea what to do, i got him a cake topper that has the bride standing up witha key in her hand and the groom is sitting with a ball and chain how can i make that into a beach themed wedding cake our colors are blue and white and a little ivory, any suggestions, what color should the cake be? how many cupcakes do i need for 120 guest? how should i make the cupcake weddign cake with that many cupcakes on it? i was thinking of making my our boxs to display the cupcakes on but for 120 people i was thinking 3 tier with cupcakes and then the 4th tier for the mini cake if i do that how mnay cupcakes should i put on each tier? please i am welcome to all suggestions.

i am having a beach themed wedding in april. i have made a guest list, but am not sure on about 10-15 people (i am inviting them, would like them to come, but dont think they will. they will say yes to my face, but not really show) i am on a tight budget (00) and want to know exactly how many people will show so i know how much food, chair, favors, etc. to get/make.

i am going to send out announcements now so that i can get an idea of how many people will be there. my question is…

so, what kind of wording should i put on my announcemts to let them know that i NEED to know if they will come? i dont want to sound hateful, but i also dont want to spend 0 per person for someone who wont be there.

I also need wording for the little tags to attach to the chocolate coin bags, again with the treasure, fortune or something similar.

Any suggestions on wording?

I was at a wedding recently and their wedding favors were homemade CD’s of their favorite songs. It was a beach themed wedding, so it was full of Beach Boys and other oldies. I enjoyed the CD for a few weeks and thought it was a great idea, but the songs weren’t too much of my style so I didn’t keep it around.

I thought it’d be fun to do the same sort of favor for my wedding. Our theme is more of like a winery…so I was thinking love songs, maybe some of the more italian type of love songs. Would you like this? Or are there any other suggestions of songs we could use?

To clarify, actually no, I’m not going for a pirate theme, like I said, we’re doing the beach theme. We’re doing fish bowl centerpieces filled with periwinkle gravel, seashells, water and floating candles. The fish bowls will be surrounded by fisherman’s netting and more seashells. The wedding cake is "Under the sea and on the beach"…the first two layers will look like they are under water, with sea life and blue icing, the top of the second layer will be covered with crushed raw sugar like sand. We’re including our two dogs, so two dog figures dressed up with a bowtie and a veil will be laying on the "beach" and on top of the cake will be two palm trees in the shape of a heart.

Periwinkle and white are the main colors…bridesmaids are going to be in "Peri" from david’s bridal. The dark purple is only an accent color in the flowers. I wanted a blue color for the beach theme, but I didn’t like any of the David’s Bridal colors of blue other than Periwinkle.

I am getting married April of next year and we are getting married at the hilton inn in daytona fl. It’s right on the beach. I’m having a beach-themed wedding on a cruise ship, with teal as my color. I’ll have about 50 attending guests, I think. Anyway, I budgeted for favors, but started thinking I could make a donation to the humane society instead, like 0 and do photo bookmarks for the guests with info about the donation in their honor. Cool or not? Would you rather have something else, like soap or a luggage tag?
If you had any other ideas besides soap and luggage tag that would be good… And I can’t do any fire or food-related items, or live plants, since it is on a cruise ship and they have some restrictions.

OK, so I want a beach themed wedding. Here is what I am planning: Married at sunset, reception at night. Outdoors, white christmas lights, white candles lit, and white flowers here and there. I want a bonfire and I want the food to be barbequed on site. Not too formal, but still very nice.
