Not just beach weddings either!
My girlfriend is from Romania. She will be coming back to the states to be with me and we are planning on getting married. She always talks about the beach and everything. So, I thought maybe we could just go to the local county clerk to get the license, then drive down to the beach and get married. Her family of course is in Romania, so there really won’t be anyone from her side of the family, so we are probably going to keep it pretty small. Then maybe after we are married we can travel to Romania and show her family. Any ideas or tips about beach weddings? Thanks.
ie. beach weddings, .. give me some ideas …
I have a limited time constraint at my outdoor wedding ceremony venue (in DC) and would like to use benches instead of chairs for a quicker set up and break down. I’ve seen this done at beach weddings but Washington DC is not too close to a beach so I am having trouble finding benches. The venue does not provide seating. Any suggestions??? I’m willing to drive to pick them up…
My friend and I are both planning to have beach weddings–mine this summer in NC or SC, hers next summer in FL–and of all the weddings I have helped to plan, never on the beach. Any advice, ideas, or tips would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for all the ideas, Allison
Haha, heels would be a very bad idea, but I like the idea of going barefoot…And all the others you through out there.
Thanks so much, ladies
Already I am getting so many good tips and ideas.
4" heels and stockings on the beach? Wow…That bride was off her rocker.

I’ve been trying to come up with some small intimate wedding ideas versus the courthouse plan we have.
I recently started thinking about a beach wedding, in either Mexico, South Carolina, or Florida
Overall, what do you think about beach weddings? nay or yay?
ohhh.. if you have any other ideas for a small [less than 50] intimate wedding lemme know! :]]
mine don’t, they’re also all the way up in Canada so thats out lol
as for his, i dont think his family does but ill def. ask
we have gone to the beach lots, but for the past two years hes been in italy, he just came back to the states. so latley we havent
with him being in new mexico with the air force, it means we’re very very close to mexico, so going to mexico for a beach wedding isnt a problem
yup definetly my first and only wedding :]]
im only just 18
Did anyone else catch We TV’s "Beach Weddings" this past Sunday? One of the couples had beautiful vows, and even nore beautiful was what the minister 9female) said about the wedding rings. It was something about how the rings will get nicks and stratches, just as the bride and groom will but if you take it off and look inside it still ooks beautiful, just like the bride and groom will. I’d LOVE to have the exact wording for this if ANYONE can help!!!!
I’ve checked YouTube and couldn’t find it. And all We TV has is a guide of when the show was on.
i love beach weddings….i’ve never been to one, but i wanna have one. lol…in a couple of years…lol…anyways, i’m just sick and tired of the good ol’ church weddings…don’t they kinda seem boring…beach weddings are soo much more romantic and intimate…what do u think ???
While I love the buildings themselves and think most are beautiful, we aren’t religious. I’m trying to get some ideas for places to get married that are nice, but also memorable/enjoyable for everyone.
NO beach weddings.
I have previously seen driftwood being used in place of a wedding arch for beach weddings before.
Is this something that just washes up or what????
Where would I get this from?????
10 points to who helps me get the answer!!!!!!
I am thinking of getting married in North Carolina. Does anyone know of any pretty areas around there or their experiences on beach weddings. Thanks!
maybe for 50-100 guest, not a Church wedding but a Beach wedding. Are Beach weddings popular now (there)?
My Fiance and I are planning a cruise wedding. We would like to be married off the ship in St. Thomas. Unsure if anyone has done this before in the following location we have 3 places to choose from for beach weddings Bluebeards Castle, Lime Tree Beach Resort, and Luxury Villa. Wondering which is a better view. I’m thinking Lime Tree Beach Resort. Also wondering about having to swear in territorial court???
We’re having a small wedding on the beach and then a reception in a private room in the hotel.
There will be 5 guest tables, each seating 2-4 people. My fiance and I will sit at a table for 2.
Are placecards necessary for such a small group?
Also, any ideas for wedding favors? If I use the place cards I was thinking of some sort of beach themed holder. If I go with the holder, do I need to have one per person, or one per couple? For example, one couple and their 5 year old are sitting at one table, should I have place cards for each of them or just one - i.e. Jones family
I would like to use disposable cameras for guests to take their own shots and then give back to us. Generally are these left on the tables, or on the table with the guest book?
For a guest book I thought of buying an autograph picture frame for guests to sign instead, as there is only going to be 10 signatures or so.
Thanks for your help! Also, any advice for people who have had small weddings or beach weddings is appreciated. I immigrated from another country and only had a few months to plan the wedding so needless to say, being new to town it was difficult to find the right vendors, etc.
Thanks in advance.
Awesome suggestions, ladies.
And you’re right - why spend money on a bunch of trinkets people are going to throw away? I love the food idea, as well as the little beach gift pails.
I want it to be fairly casual and laid back - just want everyone to have a nice dinner and enjoy their time.
Thanks so much! You saved me a lot of time (and some money!) deciding on favors.
