Hi I’ve been invited by my boyfreind to a wedding where he’ll be the best man I’m wondering what sort of attire should i wear so that i A) don’t upstage the bride and B) so i don’t look like the hooker from the bachelor party? I’m a fairly busty lady so wearing something like a tube top won’t be appropriate… I also work a minimum wage job so wearing a versace dress won’t be in my budget… The wedding is at a high scale resort in town… Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

my fiance told his best man that one of their "jobs" to do is give a speach during the toast. his best man told him only if he (my fiance) wrote it. so we dont know what to do.

I am the best man at my brother’s wedding and i guess I need to do some kind of speech. I guess I have about three minutes. My brother’s wedding is coming up in a few days and I am the best man. For awhile I have been sort of anxious about giving a speech at the reception. I give them at school all of the time, with minimal problems, but this is in front of 200 people, not 30, and it is something I am completely unfamiliar with.

I wrote a speech and toast that I think is ok but every time I think about having to do it, I feel like I am 2 seconds away from vomiting. This is still 3 days before the wedding. I have been a nervous wreck for about a week. I have no idea what will happen if i actually have to get up there and do it.

I know my brother and his fiancée won’t care if I backed out of it but do you think the wedding guests would care or even notice if i just never gave a speech?

better than the last attempts at marriage. It’s no secret my friends and I did not like our friends Scott’s choice for a bride. She is only 24, has 2 daughters aged 3 & 5 by 2 different guys, just recently divorced ( 4 months), and just plain evil. We could not persuade him not to marry her, and did we ever try. Anyway, in my drunken toast, I may have mentioned that I hoped Crystal (her name) would finally be able to settle down, get off the coke, and eventually retire from world of exotic entertainment. Needless to say, I did not get a thunderous round of applause. Did I over step my bounds and duty as best man?
We are just looking out for him. He was the geek in school, never really had a girlfriend, went away to college, has some nice computer job, and has lots of money. He is just thinking with his lower half—- sure she looks great in a thong and does "everything" he asks, but he really should have waited longer.

My hubby is the best man in his younger brothers wedding. There is going to be a lot of tension at the wedding. Neither sides of the family get along and no one is very fond of the woman my brother in law is marrying. (Especially my husband) He is at a complete loss for what to say.

He wants to keep it light short and funny, but not cocky funny. Does anyone have any ideas how to pull off a good toast when you don’t like the bride? I told him I’d help but truth is im at a loss as well!

My best friend of 10+ years is getting married this summer. He has asked me to be the Best Man for the wedding. I was really happy to find out about it and now have allot of respoinbility being the best man. So now knowing ill have my hands full that day being best man. My friend and his soon to be wife cannont find a wedding photographer in there price range. As it turns out I happen to be a Pro Wedding Photographer and my friend wants me to shoot the wedding and be best man. I understand he is in a bind and needs a photographer, but this is the first time I have ever been asked to be Best Man or even been in a wedding in years! I know if I have to shoot it as well as be in it I wont have any fun and will be working the whole time. Plus leading to problems after the fact if I miss something becasue Im in the bridal party as well. What should I do ? Shoot it ? Be Best man ? Both ? What should I tell him ?
I have told other photographers I know and have worked with about this problem , and most of them are booked for that day already or wont do it for less then 00. Witch is more than what my best friend is willing to spend…
