I want to get married on the beach with 20-25 guests. I’m thinking all-inclusive is the way to go, but am looking for feedback from others who have had budget friendly destinaton weddings. Thanks!
We are paying for our own wedding, and the budget is gonna be tight enough. What’s the etiquette on giving favors? Actually, more importantly in my head, what’s the purpose of them? Are we expected to have wedding favors for everyone that attends the wedding? Or just for the wedding party? I’m a bit confused. THanks!
Im planning our honeymoon for later this year and we really want to go somewhere special…with white sands, blue warms sea etc. But all the places i have looked at are excessively large amounts of money! Hi I’ve been invited by my boyfreind to a wedding where he’ll be the best man I’m wondering what sort of attire should i wear so that i A) don’t upstage the bride and B) so i don’t look like the hooker from the bachelor party? I’m a fairly busty lady so wearing something like a tube top won’t be appropriate… I also work a minimum wage job so wearing a versace dress won’t be in my budget… The wedding is at a high scale resort in town… Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What with the recent CA Supreme Court decision, I find myself in the surprising position of actually planning my own wedding. We had decided that we wanted to have a wedding on Labor Day weekend in the ruling went in our favor, but we didn’t make any hard plans pending the decision.
Well here I am now, making those hard plans and I only have until September (and no real budget). Now, I was never one of those girls who grew up dreaming about a wedding day, so frankly, I don’t have a flippin’ clue what to do now.
Here’s what I do have:
- a tentative guest list (~50)
- a location - a private beach in Malibu that belongs to my mother-in-law’s neighborhood (we already have a domestic partnership)
- I know we want to involve horses in the ceremony. We have our own horses and tack and whatnot
- A videographer
Past that… I don’t know any of the traditions, the ceremonies, nothin’. And while we will be making up our own unique ceremony, I’d like to know at least where to start.
Again, I have NO budget! lol… We’ve got a little saved up, but I’m trying to keep it under 00.
Oh, and we do have rings and the date - Labor Day weekend. Probably that saturday, but we’re leaving it a little flexible for now.
I was wondering maybe from anyone whose had a destination wedding where you had it? What was your budget? How many guests did you have?

I am working with about a 00 budget for the honeymoon. If we do fly out, we will be flying out of Houston, TX. I’m looking for something in Mexico or the Caribbean but nothing very "touristy". I’ve seen a lot of package deals on the internet sites (expedia, travelocity, etc.) but I’m not sure if they are what I’m looking for. Any first hand info would be great! How soon is too soon to book a wedding planner?
There is no date set and no budget yet. Is it wise to meet a planner early on to get an idea for a budget and how much needs to be saved?
I would love to have a small destination wedding over a wedding with a lot of people. Our budget is 10k-12k dollars. I most definately could see it in Greece, or Italy…with under ten people there at the most. Do you think this would be attainable???
I am getting married in June. I am having a simple beach wedding using the color pool and some tropical colors in my flowers. I have some things for my tables but it’s missing something. Help me. What can I add. I have 2 different tables. One is with teal candle holders and one is with clear ones. I am going to mix them up. What can I add to these tables?Here is what I have so far. Now the table they are on isn’t the table we are using it will be a round table that sits 8. I also included a pic of the favors. A small box with tropical colored jelly beans.

I helped out with a wedding and she did floating candles. There is no way i am doing them. They are a disaster. They all kept falling over and going out.
I thought about going to the store the day of and buying some fresh flowers and putting them on the table. Like cutting the tips off but leave about 3 inches of the stem.
putting flowers in the vases is not an option. I can’t afford to pay a florist. I’m trying to make it as nice as possible with my budget.
So far I spent about a table. If that. Each candle was and I bought ribbon to put on them and each candle holder was . the vases were a piece and the sand was a couple dollars a bag and so were the shells. Trying to keep in budget.

My fiance and I are set to get married at the end of November and she wants me to give her some examples of what she should wear. Keep in mind that our real wedding isn’t for a few years (in Greece; beach wedding) but this November is our courthouse marriage. I’d like it to be simple yet still kinda elegant.
It’s not so much that we’re on a budget, but more that it’s not necessary to buy an expensive or flashy dress for the courthouse wedding when we already have fancy attire for the real wedding.
