I’m not into the traditional things, so I’d like to customize my wedding invitations to fit my tastes. I have a lot of crazy friends so I thought it would be cool to find something awesome to send out to them. Maybe choosing unique and fun colors would do, but I’m just wondering if maybe there are any websites or stores out there.

I am really, very interested in weddings, and I would LOVE to be a wedding planner. Unfortunately, I would probably not be very successful in my area. lol. So, for my future wedding, I’ll be going "all-out" I can’t decide if I want to have the classic, white, chapel, etc. or beach front, or what. So, what was the theme of your wedding, and the colors? Thanks
Cool guys, thanks so much for the answers, all of the weddings sound amazing.

I want my wedding to be casual.. not jeans/t-shirts but not tuxedos. I’m getting married next September. I know the girls are going to be in dresses of course, but I’m still unsure of a color scheme and what that guys should wear… any help would be greatly appreciated =D
Just to answer some questions..
I don’t know what my colors are yet… I want something good for the season. The dresses are going to be pretty but not too fancy…not sure on the style yet.. wow, I need to do some serious planning! =)

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone had attended a wedding in which the bride wore a white dress and the bridesmaids indian saris? I will wear a white dress (maybe with some indian features in it) in church and change into an indian outfit for the reception. I’m debating what to do for the girls. Would it look weird??Any websites with pictures I could maybe see?
I am Polish and my fiance is Indian but we are both christian so the white dress is totally acceptable for his family as well as mine. I thank you guys for the answers and great ideas. I will definitely wear a lengha…i wore a sari for the engagement party and can see how it could be cumbersome. I really love the indian outfits and colors! I spoke to some of the BM and they would love to wear a sari!!! It is different for them and it would be fun!! Thanx guys for the ideas

I’m having a small beach wedding with only a MOH and best man in wedding party and would like to do a light blue and pink for the colors. How can I incorporate the pink on MOH with the blue on BM? I will be wearing a super pale pink dress and fiance a white button up linen shirt, tan pants and blue tie. What should I put the BM in and is this even going to look right at all??? Thanks for your help!

Hi,
I have 6 bridesmaids for my October beach wedding. I have three shades of blue as my colors and two girls will wear a color. I was thinking of giving pashmina wraps as gifts since it will probably get chilly out. I was wondering what color to get since they will be in three different shades (a light pool blue, a medium tropical blue, and a deeper marine blue). I thought white at first but I think that would look too stark with all the dresses. I also thought about doing a contrasting blue (so the girls wearing light blue would get dark blue wraps) but I am not sure what to do about the medium blue dresses. Help! Maybe someone has a better suggestion for gifts or is good with colors. PS i do not want to get beach totes! Thanks!

I was just informed by my fiance’s mother that his father will refuse to wear a tux to our wedding. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable so I thought perhaps I could just ask him to wear khakis and a blue plaid shirt (since our colors are blue and white). I think if I do this, my dad should also wear something similar so photos will look better. Also I could have the ringbearer (my little brother) wear the same thing. I thought of putting the groomsmen in that too, but I think tuxs would be better for them. My wedding will be pretty casual anyway, so do you think this would look okay? Just the groom and groomsmen in tuxs? Also, should I ask my mother and his to pick a similar dress or at least the same color? Another question: My dad is bald and looks bad without a hat… however I’m getting married in a church so he can’t really wear one… what would be your suggestions there? Thanks for all opinions

We are getting married in June on board a ship in Juneau Alaska. I would like to give those coming along something special and appropriate to our destination. Also we are having a backyard reception when we get home. There will be 300+ guests. I would like to somehow tie together our wedding with our reception (we are early in the planning process). Also the background at the wedding will be an icy blue. Wha colors would correspond? Help!
Correction: about 25-30 guests at the wedding and 300+ at the backyard bbq reception

I saw it a long time ago, for a brief time when I was on vacation. And I remember this really cute quote from, I’m asume the wedding planner. (Because Jennifer Lopez was in it) And she asked some guy what the color of her eyes were and he answered and told her very specific colors, and she said she would have settled for brown. Can someone tell me the whole quote please?

Not getting married anytime soon (I’m only 17) But its still so much fun to dream about.
I’ve already decided that I want a casual fun wedding, not all formal. :]
Do you think these colors look laid back? But also elegant at the same time?
I want an outdoor/maybe beach wedding. :]

My husband’s brother is getting married on December 15th. Their wedding was supposed to be semi-formal. They aren’t having a dance or a dinner, just a luncheon with family and then an open house style reception. But the groom decided he wanted the dads and brothers to wear tuxes. But the bride doesn’t care what the moms and sisters wear, mostly because of a limit of money. She does have two bridesmaids who will be wearing formal dresses in her colors, a friend and one of her sisters. On the groom’s side there are 4 sisters, two of which have husbands who will be wearing tuxes. So my question is should the moms and sisters wear formal dresses or just semi-formal dresses or skirt/shirt outfits that are the best they have? I asked the bride and she doesn’t even care about anything, "as long as she gets married." So pretty much her mom and one of the groom’s sisters is planning the whole thing. Is there special etiquette for this?

So I am getting married next fall and my colors are fallish red, yellow, orange, brown. I am looking for a cheap place to get tins or boxs for favors. Or any one have any favor ideas? Im doing leaves and Gerbera daisy is my main flower. Any pictures would be great too. Im looking at needing around 150-175.

I am having difficulty coming up with a color scheme for my wedding and I know that is the basis for the whole thing! So I just really need someone to help with me pick colors, and I think I can go from there.
So should I get a planner or do the people I work with (bridal place, church, reception hall) help me with color coordinating everything?
