Expert Advice About Beach Wedding Planning And Destination Wedding Locations.
My boyfriend’s dad is getting married on the beach. I’ve never been to a beach wedding so i really dont know what i should wear. His sister told me that she had a dress that was white and had flowers on it.Do you think that that would be ok or what? i dont know
I am trying to coordinate my wedding colors. I really like the blue and green idea but now I am having trouble and dont know if they will work. Whats your thoughts on the combo? I would prefer blue dresses with a green sash for the girls, tan suits for the guys with white shirts and a green and blue stripped tie. Then my decision gets harder with the flowers. Do I just keep it blue and green or should I add some pinks into them? Please help. Any pictures would be great!
I am planning an august wedding in michigan on the beach… HELP!!!! I dont really know where to start! I think I have a dress picked out..online anyway..and my color is cobalt blue. My fiancee and I love flowers.. It is going to be a very small wedding..close family and friends. Any and all ideas and suggestions welcome!

I am thinking about getting married on the beach of Lake Michigan. Either in Chicago, IL; Michigan City, IN; Holland, MI; or Grand Haven, MI… Does anyone know any good reception sites that would be close? I want a sunset wedding and an evening reception in May… but there isn’t a date set yet, I just want lilacs so it would have to be around Mother’s day for the flowers to be in bloom. I was thinking it would be really cold still on the beach and windy in May. Has anyone had experience with weddings on Lake Michigan in any of these areas? I would like to know what kind of rules there are for the ceremony. The reception would be at a different location near the beach, but inside because it will definitely be too cold to be outside at night in May. Thanks!

We are going to key west to have out wedding. Usually traditonal weddings, one person takes home the centerpiece. Obviously with everyone flying in I doubt they would want the floral centerpiece. The wedding will be held outdoors, so it will be hot! I wanted some suggestions on different beach themed centerpieces, one idea I was thinking about was having a bowl with water and seashells and having floating candles and flowers, anyone have any other suggestions. Something simple but unique!

I was looking for a photographer for my wedding (I’ll be a Mrs. on 10/20/2010!!!) and I wanted to see if anybody had thoughts on elizabeth keel photography? She’s local and I met her and her husband yesterday and we all clicked very well and I got along with her very well. All of the shots fromm what I can tell are outdoors and she said she would be more then happy to show me some of her church wedding images as well but that she keeps her most recent work up and that is the beach/outside weddings. I’m planning on meeting with her again to look at the pictures and make my decision about her but I also want utdoor pictures too.
I’ve looked at a lot of photographers and interviewed a bunch too but I just haven’t found any that were quite like her (maybe because she reminds me of my sisters or something). I wanted to know what you guys thought of her stuff and if I should go with her. My FI thinks she’s awesome but that’s his first response to anything that gets wedding planning done fast, lol!
I also picked out a florist last week that, if you are local (Tampa, FL), is just WONDERFUL! Her name is Jenny and she runs flowers by jenny. Fabulous stuff and she was just awesome! Can you believe right before I walked into her store another florist just threw a book at me and said "look and see what you want!" stating that it was too EARLY to plan for flowers and it was a catalog– not even pictures of stuff she had litterally done, just perfect version examples! I was very upset and the FI had some choice words too 
But Jenny rocks! I;m so excited to see the flowers when they are done 
So… thoughts would be really helpful if you have any. I’m also looking for a videographer and a DJ but I haven’t spoken to any DJs and all the videographers that I met with and saw their work were no good at all but FI really really wants one. Thoughts? THANKS a lot in advance!

I have the flight and resort booked. I might do welcome bags. I have something planned for after the ceremony for a reception. I will pick my flowers and my hair and makeup when I get there. What else should I be preparing right now? I don’t want to forget doing anything.
Oops! Sorry. I forgot to mention we are doing the paperwork and getting married civilly before we go to avoid all the hassles. The ceremony will be symbolic only.

I am looking for ideas. We are making our own invitations (message in a bottle) and we are going to be doing our own centerpieces (sand/water/shells/floating candles). We decided that since we are doing a theme, we wouldn’t necessarily stick with a color theme but want to incorporate ocean colors – blues, greens and tan/beige neutrals. What flowers for bouquets would you suggest? What about favors? What other decorations would work? I just don’t know where to start!!
Also, does anyone know of a good florist in, or around San Jose? I’m looking for someone whose good and creating the "Total Look" from flowers to drapery maybe.
