I want to start a business making my own invitations on professional cardstock… what software will allow me to do a lot of creating / editing / etc?
I am getting remarried next year. I still use my ex-husband’s last name as my legal last name. I do not want to use his last name on my wedding invites, however many people know me by this last name. Can I just skip putting a last name on the invitations and just use my first and middle name? I have seen people do this, but it is usually when the parents are paying for the wedding and doing the invitations. This is not the case for my wedding.
This is going to be a wedding that will have many Lord of the Rings elements throughout. That is key to creating these invitations. I have a basic design for the invites, but need to come up with my wording.
I have everything else for the invitations worked out, but I can’t seem to find a good quote online. I’d like to have one at the top of the invitations, something about loving each other forever or soul mates or joy or something.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
If am contracted to invite 150 guest and each guest comes with a date that makes 75 invitations. One per couple. I hear I should order more just in case there’s more guest. So, 100 invitations or more?
I need to print out invitations for a wedding on the cheap. If I illustrate and text them myself, where can I go to get them printed? I will need envelopes too so is there a service that I can take the design to?
How soon before my wedding am I supposed to send out the invitations? Also do I send invitations to the bridal party?

Since we’re having a small wedding, only 40 guests and I’m designing and printing out our invitations myself, I thought it would be nice to put each person’s name on the invite, but I’m not sure how to word it. The pleasure of the company of Mrs. Bob Smith sounds awkward to me, too many ofs.
I am starting to look at wedding invitation possibilities, and have begun my search on TheKnot.com, but there don’t seem to be very many companies that do invitations. I want to do the whole process online, except for having a proof physically sent to me. What companies have any of you used personally? My price range is $-$$ out of $$$$ – Thanks for any referrals!
I just can’t see spending 0 on invitations that people rarely respond to anyway. Even if they have a return card with postage, people lose them and then you have to call to see if they are comming!
They can call me. Is that too cheap? I just rather spend the extra $$ on the fun at the wedding!
Actually, it’s going to be very informal… no ties, no shoes- it’s going to be all on the beach! (luau)
My Future In-laws have offered to pay for most of the expenses for our wedding because my parents are unable to (long story). When wording the invitations, should I word them like this:
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Smith would like to request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their son, Sam Smith to Ms. Sarah Johnson …..
OR will it still be OK to word them like this (as I originally planned to):
Together with their parents Sarah Johnson and Sam Smith request the honor of your presence at their marriage …
My wedding is in October. It is a destination wedding (but still in the United States) at the beach and we are inviting just immediate family. I have the invitations designed. They are informal, but I was wondering is it too early to send them out. Everyone will have to travel and make their own arrangements??
What Maui Beaches and Packages Do You Suggest For The Best Budgeted Wedding?
We are looking on all of the websites to find the best wedding package in Maui. There are so many sites and options that I don’t even know where to begin. Anyone that can share their own personal experience and which company they used would be a huge help! Also any cool sites for favors or invitations.
I am not sending out save the date cards so I can save some money. Everyone on the invitation list is family. My wedding is on June 9th, and his family is on my case telling me I need to call everyone and personally invite them now so they can get off work. I think they are being a little overbearing and that if I send out invitations eight weeks prior, that will give them plenty of time to ask off. They say I am not being thoughtful and that out of town family members feel that they are not included in the guest list because I haven’t contacted them yet. Who’s right?
