Wedding band?
I’m getting married next spring. My fiance and I are in the process of planning our wedding and ironing out the details.
I really dig this wedding band for myself, but I guess it’s a man’s one..
I like the black onyx and diamond alternating, plus it’s cheaper than all diamonds across the front of the band (which is kind of what he wants to get me since our engagement ring is quite simple). We’re planning a modest wedding and are both just finishing college – so we’re in debt.
anyway, I dig this black and white kind of thing. Is it too mannish? (I didn’t even know it was a mens’ ring at first..)
Do you know of a womens’ version of it?
Thanks!
oops, here’s the band:

Thanks! I saw it on the back of a birdal magazine, and didn’t realize it was a "man’s" ring until I looked it up online. It’s a benchmark diamond and onyx.
My fiance digs it, too. I was just curious – from an objective point of view..
It is a slim ring – which should go well with our engagement ring.
Thanks for your input!

I think it’s beautiful. I would never know it was a man’s ring.
Don’t even sweat it! Who cares what it is "technically", if you love it go for it. I worked in jewelry for years and many women bought rings labeled as men’s rings. I think it sounds awesome
.
Ok- I just saw the pic. and I don’t think it’s a man’s band. How wide is it? I looks about 3mm. If it was wide, like 5mm+ then I would think maybe it’s a mans band, but this doesn’t look that wide. Plus there are many similar styles for women using sapphires/emerald/rubies and diamond. I say, definitely go for it!!!
I really like that as a womans ring, its diffrent but very pretty.. i say who cares he should relieze if you love the ring then it is perfect. just go for it girl its your wedding you should get what ya want… after all you only get married once right?? ((hopefully)) I hope you have a nice wedding!
no, i think it’s actually pretty cute(:
it might seem kind of manly when you first take a glance at it, but when you look at it hard and actually see what use it could come to, then it’s pretty awesome. xD
maybe you could look for a wedding band that has kinds of jewels in it, instead of diamonds, it could be emeralds or rubies, but in black and white. [=
i don’t think it’s mannish at all! my husband and i just got married two months ago, and we, too, are students. we got our wedding bands (and engagement rings) from http://www.justmetal.com. they have some REALLY CUTE rings and they are VERY affordable! my engagement ring is the pinnacle ring with the sapphire, and we just got plain, titanium bands for our wedding bands. good luck and congratulations!
It’s a lovely ring. If you like the ring and the size fits your finger, get it.
Honestly, I think it is a unisex design, but leaning more towards girly. Wear the one that makes you happy, you have to look at it for the rest of your life, not us.
Are you sure this is a man’s ring? I think it is kind of slim to be a man ring. I like it too!
I love it. Very different from the norm and I think it looks cool. I love the black and white thing, it goes with everything. Get it. If it’s what you want, who cares if it’s supposed to be a ‘guys’ ring. I wear several guys rings all the time (because I really don’t like the sterling silver selection for women and because I wear rings on all my fingers, so a size 7 doesn’t cut it). I say get it. Go with what you want. Besides, it’s the meaning behind the ring that counts, not which sex it’s meant for.
I don’t think it is a man’s ring. It’s made for a ladies hand and can’t be more than 3-4MM in width.
Congrats!
If you like it – what’s the problem? It will be "womannish" as soon as you put it on.
I wanted a plain gold band, but all the women ones either had stones in them, or were too thin, so I ended up getting a "man’s" band (a little thicker). Trust me, no one would ever know – it’s just a band.
Of course, I’m the proponent of getting what you like, without worrying too much about the tradition. If you are a traditional person, and if it’s important to you not to "rock the boat", you might want to look into more conservative options, something more banal. But I would strongly encourage you to think "outside the box" and get the ring that caught your fancy.
