Wedding band tattoo good or bad?
I heard about wedding band tattoos, and I have heard they are good substitutes for wedding rings, but I have also heard that the site of the tattoo prevents the tattoo from keeping a fresh look, it wears off, and alot of other ups and downs. Can anybody give me some input as to recommended or not?

ok…well it depends on you..
the skin on your hands..CONSTANTLY sheds…so therefore, you are right , you will need to get it touched up up often in order for it to look fresh..
also if you tattoo that bad boy on there…you can NEVER take it off..
good luck<3
Wedding band tattoo’s are obviously going to be much more permenant than wedding rings
If you did decide in the future to get rid of it you would have to go through laser surgery.
bad idea who knows whats going to happen later on in your life, divorce, death who knows. Would you want your new mate to have a reminder that they were not your first choice.
With the current divorce rate I would not suggest it. Also, your finger will not hold in very well.
I’ve seen them before. Often, the partners will still wear a wedding band over the ring, but it is still there if they have to take off their ring.
Because it is on the hand, and the hand takes a lot of abuse, and because skin cell turnover is at a higher rate than the rest of the body, the tattoo does not stay looking as fresh as other ink. The wedding band tattoos I saw were about 10 years ago, and they were not new at the time I saw them. Inks have improved drastically since then, and so has the talent available on the market.
I say its good. Very symbolic of eternal love. However, with any tatoo, as you ages, your skin ages also. It sounds like a cool idea, if the other person’s cool with it also.
my husband and I tied the knot last month and we bought ourselves wedding rings because the church would allow nothing else, but now we are having a tattoo done on the top of our arm. I think it’s a good idea, but you may still have to buy rings if you are getting married in church, something about it being a circular shape for eternity.
Why not get a wedding ring to start with and if you are still together on your 5 year anniversary - then get a tattoo to celebrate, then you can spend a lot getting a top notch one.
