How far are people traveling to your wedding? Many people traveled a couple hours to mine, so it was just a day trip. We had an 11am wedding. So day trip = midday wedding, so people have time to get home at a reasonable hour. If most people will be doing an overnight anyways, an evening wedding is nice. If it is outdoors and scenic, sunset would be nice. Take your main age group into consideration, too. Oh, also- if you are on a budget- lunch meal will be less expensive than serving a dinner meal. You can even get away with snacks and appetizers. Also, the bar tab might be a little less expensive in the afternoon, too.
Sunset, if you have the right location.
Afternoon, if in a church.
Night time, if you want the formal look.
I always think high noon is best with a snack/appetizer bar after the wedding, which has been the case for all the weddings I have been to. Great photo ops (no dark skies) and plenty of time to party after the ceremony.
My husband always insists morning that way if it doesn’t work out you haven’t ruined the entire day.
Actually it depends on what you want and your budget. A morning wedding with a luncheon following will be less expensive than a late afternoon or evening wedding.
Later afternoon when the weather is nice… Sunset time!
Midday will require you and your guests to get up early and rush, rush, RUSH!!!
Good luck & Congrats!
Mine is at 11:30 AM, it’s July and in Ohio. I hope it won’t be too humid yet
I know, it starts at the half hour, which could be seen as bad luck, but that is how it worked out.
I like weddings anytime of day, though.
I prefer a late afternoon ceremony with an evening reception to follow
Depends on where you are having the wedding. I’m doing a 5:30pm beach wedding in June. Later in the afternoon so it’s not so hot.
I like the idea of a noon/early afternoon wedding. It just seems more convenient for everybody — particularly out-of-town guests.
night time
Initially, it depends on your budget., During morning & noon; you can serve lighter menu items and seem to be a little less expensive for your weddingg reception….. Anytime after that; dependin on what you select or if you want sit down dinner; it can get pretty costly…If money isn’t a factor; I personally enjoy an evenin wedding & party into the night….
afternoon then reception unter the moonllit starry sky
At night, under a full moon and a starry sky.
Well, it’s NEVER the right time. I’m never getting married, for my own reasons. Won’t go into it, be too long.
